LEARN TO ROW
Learn to Row is designed for those who are new to the sport. These athletes will learn the fundamentals of rowing both on land and on the water. Rowers learn the importance of land training and proper use of the erg (rowing machine). On the water, basic drills to improve technique are emphasized. As these athletes progress, they are introduced to racing skills to prepare them for the novice level. Learn to Row athletes practice three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.) and do not compete in regattas.
Cost: $500

WHAT TO BRING: hat/visor, sunglasses, 2 reusable water bottles--each in a sock (to prevent damage to the inside of the boat), a snack, running shoes, and shoes that can get wet. Form fitting clothing is a must--loose shorts can be worn over bike or compression shorts. Loose pants and shirts can get caught in tracks which is a rowing hazard.
