CVCR VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

Complete a Volunteer Information Form. This form must be submitted annually.

Work under the direction of and in collaboration with CVCR staff to plan and implement volunteer or partnership activities.

Instructing, supervising, coaching and disciplining athletes are CVCR staff responsibilities.

Communicate with staff to ensure expectations are understood.

Comply with all federal, state and local statutes, ordinances, regulations and guidelines, as well as any host facility or organization guidelines (such as EVSRA or Norfolk Botanical Garden.)

Adhere to the CVCR Code of Conduct available at www.cvcrowing.org.

All volunteers working directly with the rowers must complete the SafeSport online training course annually and present the certificate of completion to cvcrowing@gmail.com

Volunteers shall not have been convicted of a felony offense or any offense involving the sexual molestation or physical or sexual abuse of a child. Volunteers will notify Coastal Virginia Community Rowing within 24 hours of an arrest for any such criminal offense.
