CVCR VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

• Complete a Volunteer Information Form. This form must be submitted annually.

 

• Work under the direction of and in collaboration with CVCR staff to plan and implement volunteer or partnership activities. 

 

• Instructing, supervising, coaching and disciplining athletes are CVCR staff responsibilities. 

 

• Communicate with staff to ensure expectations are understood. 

 

• Comply with all federal, state and local statutes, ordinances, regulations and guidelines, as well as any host facility or organization guidelines (such as EVSRA or Norfolk Botanical Garden.) 

 

• Adhere to the CVCR Code of Conduct available at www.cvcrowing.org.

 

• All volunteers working directly with the rowers must complete the SafeSport online training course annually and present the certificate of completion to cvcrowing@gmail.com

 

• Volunteers shall not have been convicted of a felony offense or any offense involving the sexual molestation or physical or sexual abuse of a child. Volunteers will notify Coastal Virginia Community Rowing within 24 hours of an arrest for any such criminal offense.
