Help Let VB Youth Row! Ask the City of Virginia Beach to provide access to local waterways for high school community rowing at a reasonably central location, preferably the existing Thalia Road dock, in time for summer rowing, while a more permanent rowing location is being selected. See us on Wavy10. We need home base to access rowable VB waterways and store equipment. Please also consider writing your city council member.
Includes time on the water! Campers will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, an introduction to the variety of rowing equipment, an overview of the variety of positions on a rowing team (Rower/Coxswain), and a review of the unique rowing terminology needed for rowing safely on the water. Open to any risign 9th-12th grader.
NEWS! CVCR RECEIVES US ROWING ENDORSEMENT; BECOMES VB SCHOOLS PARTNER IN EDUCATION
CVCR recently received formal support from USRowing, rowing's governing body in support of our efforts to expand the sport in Hampton Roads. We also recently became a Partner in Education with Virginia Beach City Public Schools as we work with them to expand awareness of and access to this fast-growing sport.
